British turf season comes to a close

Qatar Racing is represented by just one runner, Granola, who tackles a nursery (1.15) over six furlongs. David Brown (pictured) trains the filly, who was second, beaten just two lengths, at Windsor on her latest start. With just 8st on her back she could make her presence felt.

Jockey James Sullivan rides Granola, a daughter of Makfi, for the first time in public.

Early this morning UK time, at Flemington in Australia, Noble Protector finished fourth of nine runners for Qatar Bloodstock in the Gr.3 Queen Elizabeth Stakes. The Robert Smerdon-trained filly was ridden by Craig Williams.
