Just three-quarters of a length separated Endless Drama from Gleneagles, the favourite, in the Curragh's big race of the day. Held up by Andrea Atzeni in the colours of Sheikhs Khalifa and Suhaim and Qatar Racing, Endless Drama was brought with a compelling run on the outside of the field while the winner came up the inside rail under Ryan Moore. The third home, Ivawood, was a further half a length behind after making much of the running.

Tombelaine, who had beaten Endless Drama in the Listed Tetrarch Stakes at the same track earlier this month, was three and a quarter lengths behind on this occasion, coming home fifth of the 11 runners.

At Haydock Park there was a one-three for Qatar Racing, with the David Barron-trained Pearl Secret finishing first in the Gr.2 Temple Stakes, and Wind Fire taking third place for David Brown's stable. Hot Streak, who started favourite, faded in the final furlong and finished sixth of the 11 runners.

Pearl Secret, who was ridden in public for the first time by George Baker, won by a neck from Jack Dexter, with Wind Fire, who was the outsider of the field, half a length behind in third.

Meanwhile there was another winner today for Qatar Bloodstock stallion Makfi, who is enjoying a purple spell with progeny conceived at Tweenhills Farm and Stud.

Makfi's latest winner was Fabricate, who is owned and was bred by HM The Queen, and who landed the opening maiden race at Haydock for Michael Bell's stable. Three-year-old Fabricate, who had finished second on his only other start, is a member of his sire's first crop.

He was produced by the Sadler's Wells mare Flight Of Fancy, who was runner up in the 2001 Gr.1 Epsom Oaks.
