Galloping towards a good cause in Newmarket

Riding a member of Peter Chapple-Hyam's string, Sheikh Fahad was photographed cantering up Warren Hill and looking on course for the challenge ahead, which takes place on April 25 at Limerick. The aim is to raise money for Irish Injured Jockeys and while his mount is still to be decided upon, the David Simcock-trained Captain Morley, who is owned by Qatar Racing, is one possibility.

Sheikh Fahad on the gallops - Andrea Atzeni had better beware!

Last year Sheikh Fahad ran the London Marathon, so when he commits to a project he does not duck it, even though the charity race promises to be a stern test. He rode as a child, but only recently returned to the saddle.

He is now on "a strict diet and tough training regime to get fit for the race", which is being run as part of a raceday in honour of former jockeys Tim and Martin Molony, who were born and raised in Limerick.
