Mr Owen (right) is back in action at Meydan today when tackling a handicap (22.00 local time, 18.00 in UK) over seven furlongs.

Qatar Racing's five-year-old, who is trained by Francois Rohaut and ridden by Oisin Murphy, is returning to the track where he finished unplaced last month in a Group Two contest. That was over nine furlongs, and Rohaut believes a stronger pace over today's shorter trip will suit Mr Owen, who is twice a Listed winner in France.

Key rivals include Akeed Champion, who receives 8lb from Mr Owen, and who has won his last two races.
