Stablemates Ainippe and Queen Catrine are among five runners in this afternoon's Gr.3 Brownstown Stakes at Fairyhouse.

Ainippe won the race last year when the going was good to firm, and trainer Ger Lyons is hoping the showers that are forecast do not soften the ground further, for both she and Queen Catrine have shown their best form on a quick surface. Colin Keane (pictured below) rides Ainippe, and Gary Carroll partners Queen Catrine.

Another member of Lyons' stable, Lustrous Light, faces just two rivals in the card's final race over 12 furlongs. Keane rides the colt, who is clear of his two rivals on handicap ratings, but since they are trained by Aidan O'Brien and Dermot Weld they have to be respected.

Arod dropped down in trip to take on top-class sprinters in yesterday's Gr.1 Darley July Cup at Newmarket, but he was soon under pressure and was allowed to coast home by Oisin Murphy once his chance had gone.
