Last call for 8 to Follow on eve of QIPCO Guineas

To win a share of prizes worth almost £20,000 - with £10,000 to the winner and a cash sum down to fifth place - pick eight horses (including four two-year-olds) trained in Europe for Qatar Racing, Pearl Bloodstock and partnerships, and each time one of your horses reaches a place you gain points - there are extra points for Stakes races. The person who gains the most points scoops the top prize. Entry costs £10 a time, but you can enter as many times as you like, and there will be a window to change some selections in mid-summer.

The aim is to raise funds for the charity Racing Welfare (www.racingwelfare.co.uk), so hurry towww.8tofollow.co.uk, or click on one of the 8 to Follow logos on this website, to see the list of horses and make an entry via credit card or PayPal.

Two candidates to give you an early start with some points line up in the season's first Classic race, the Gr.1 QIPCO 2000 Guineas, which takes place on Saturday. They are Elm Park (pictured with Qatar Racing's Sheikh Fahad and jockey Andrea Atzeni) and Cappella Sansevero, both high-class colts who were top-notch two-year-olds.

Pearl Secret and Wind Fire contest the Gr.3 Pearl Bloodstock Palace House Stakes, and they would gain extra points if finishing in the first three because the event is a Stakes races. So too is the Harbour Watch Newmarket Stakes, a Listed event which includes an entry from Rocky Rider.

Sunday's Gr.1 QIPCO 1000 Guineas includes the filly Terror, who is another on the list of 8 to Follow possibles.

To gain some clues about possible two-year-olds to include in your list go to www.8tofollow.co.uk and click on Team Eights to get the views from some experts, including former champion jockey Kevin Darley, Qatar Racing manager David Redvers and the stable's no.1 jockey Andrea Atzeni.
