Pallasator among quality Qatar Racing draft at Tattersalls' Horses-in-Training Sale

The 70-strong consignment offers something for everyone, from two-year-olds to proven handicappers, and for trainers of both Flat and jumping horses. The 2013 selection included then two-year-old G Force, who went on to success in the following year's Gr.1 Betfred Sprint Cup, but other subsequent winners include Snowmane (current rating 84), Gang Warfare (88), Pearl Castle (93f, 137h), Robot Boy (highest 106), Jacob Cats (highest 86), Normal Equilibrium (highest 100) and Avon Pearl (highest rated 106 and Listed winner in Sweden on Sunday).

David Redvers, Racing and Bloodstock Manager to Qatar Racing, said: "There are some lovely horses and old favourites on offer next week and it will be a shame to see some of them go. However, we have some exciting young horses to bring into training and to accommodate them we are being consistent with our policy of moving stock on to make way for the next generation.

"I have no doubt that there is plenty of fun and success to be had with many of the horses in the consignment."

Pallasator (Lot 745), is being offered from Sir Mark Prescott's Heath House Stables, but other members of Qatar Racing's string are being consigned by Jamie Railton. Talented performers to note include a trio from Ger Lyons' yard, namely the Royal Ascot and Listed-placed Sacrificial (Lot 771), Fog Of War (Lot 725), who was a short-head second in a ten-furlong handicap during Irish Champions Weekend, and Lat Hawill (Lot 341), who was second in Listed company in June, when he also won a handicap.

A likely highlight among two-year-old entries is Flying Empress (Lot 1024), a two-time winner and close fourth in the Gr. 2 Rockfel Stakes on her latest start, and with the highest BHA rating among 11 fillies declared for Newbury's Listed Radley Stakes (15.35) on Saturday.

From David Simcock's stable are Halation (Lot 344) a winner at Ascot on Shergar Cup day, andCaptain Morley (Lot 724), an impressive handicap winner on the final day of Doncaster's St Leger Festival. Another consistent and high-class handicapper in the sale is the Olly Stevens-trainedGamesome (Lot 392), a close up sixth off a mark of 100 in the Wokingham Handicap at the Royal Meeting.

The well-regarded Flaming Spear (Lot 343), from Kevin Ryan's stable, is worth noting, as is the Charlie Hills-trained Aces (Lot 1090), who has been running well in Stakes company this year. Wet Sail(Lot 395), a member of Charlie Fellowes' yard, has won a conditions race at Salisbury since the catalogue was printed, and last year chased home top-class Limato and Mattmu when third in Redcar's Listed Two-Year-Old Trophy.

Among less-exposed three-year-olds likely to attract interest are Master Of Irony (Lot 652), a dual winning son of Makfi, and the Galileo colt Murgan (Lot 585), who recently secured an overdue first victory when easily winning his maiden.

Tattersalls' four-day Horses-in-Training Sale starts at 9.30am on Monday (October 26). A full list of Qatar Racing horses entered for the sale can be viewed under the 'Horses for Sale' area of this website.
