Plenty of potential Qatar Racing gems at Horses-in-Training sale

Twelve months ago the Qatar Racing draft included G Force, who changed hands for 25,000gns and subsequently won the Gr.1 Haydock Sprint Cup and two other races.

Consigned by Jamie Railton, this year's list includes a range of horses by leading sires - and plenty of two-year-olds like G Force who can improve in their second season. They include Listed winner and Royal Ascot runner-up Mind Of Madness (Lot 715 - pictured), who has achieved a rating of 103 and could be of interest to trainers in Hong Kong and the USA.

Another juvenile who should have plenty more to come is Brutus (Lot 859), who has been third then second - beaten half a length on the second occasion - on his latest outings. "He can only get better with age," says trainer Richard Hannon.

Cajoling (Lot 861) is a two-year-old who won at Windsor in May and was later second at Doncaster, while Barbarous (Lot 996) could be one to note following a debut second at Hamilton last month. Another juvenile who caught the eye this season has been Gaudy (Lot 997), who was fourth of 19 in the DBS Premier Sales race following a win at Newcastle.

End Of Line (Lot 1196) is a Listed-placed, winning three-year-old, while Magnolia Beach (Lot 1198) is a winner and three-time runner-up who was recently fourth in a Group Three race at Dundalk - his yearling half-brother sold for 390,000gns at Tattersalls two weeks ago.

Snowmane (Lot 714), a three-year-old son of Galileo, has won two and been placed twice this year - he has a similar profile to Yenhaab (Lot 716), a colt of the same age and by Cape Cross. Both these consistent horses stay middle distances and could be of interest to jumps trainers and those who wish to continue racing them on the Flat.

Something speedier comes in the shape of Nova Champ (Lot 994), who has won over six furlongs at Newmarket and Windsor this season and was recently beaten less than two lengths when fourth at Newmarket. Another sprinter, Royal Birth (Lot 995) won over five furlongs at Bath last month.

Four-year-old Englishman (Lot 992), a winning two-year-old, had been placed on several occasions this year before winning cosily at Haydock last week.

Tattersalls' Horses-in-Training Sale runs from Tuesday to Thursday, starting at 9.30am each day. The company's December Sale includes foals, mares and fillies in and out of training.

Entries for that prestigious event include Qatar Racing and the Sangster family's Just The Judge, a winner and runner-up in the Irish and English 1000 Guineas, and recently successful in the Gr.1 E P Taylor Stakes at Woodbine.

Full details of all horses offered by Qatar Racing and Pearl Bloodstock can be found in the Horses For Sale section of this website.
