Sinnamary heads December Sale draft from Tweenhills

The daughter of Galileo, offered to dissolve a partnership, was knocked down to Anthony Oppenheimer, the owner of Derby and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Golden Horn, for 700,000gns. His bloodstock advisor, Hugo Lascelles, signed the buyers' sheet after heading interest from American Barry Weisbord.

Sinnamary was offered through Tweenhills on behalf of the Marquesa De Moratalla and Qatar Racing, a partnership put together after the filly won her debut race at two for Mikel Delzangles. As a good-looking filly whose half-sister, Chicquita, won the Gr.1 Irish, she had lots of appeal in the sales ring.

Oppenheimer said: "She really walked well, she was beautiful, and we fell in love with her," while David Redvers, bloodstock and racing manager to Qatar Racing, said: "She was a stunning filly with a happening family, but we're being commercial about the operation, and in this instance she was offered to dissolve a partnership."

Sinnamary (Lot 1898) walks Tattersalls' sales ring yesterday

Dual Classic-placed Lightning Thunder (Lot 2008), offered on behalf of Mohammed Al Kubasi and Pearl Bloodstock, realised 420,000gns to a bid from Adrian Nicoll of BBA Ireland, completing a profitable return for her vendors. She was bought by Redvers for 115,000gns at Tattersalls' Craven Breeze-Up Sale, and won £175,000 on the track.

Another member of the draft to appear in the ring yesterday, three-year-old Terror (Lot 1899) had been bought by Redvers as a Goresbridge breezer for €75,000. Returned to the ring on behalf of Qatar Racing, she was knocked down to US agent Gatewood Bell for 300,000gns.

Bear Cheek (Lot 2009) changed hands for 200,000gns, while the Qatar Bloodstock-owned four-year-old mare Relation Alexander (Lot 1857), complete with a cover by Lope De Vega, was sold for 175,000gns.
