Qatar Racing homepage

Qatar Racing was founded in 2012. The company, Qatar Racing Ltd, is a subsidiary of QIPCO Holding and represents the racehorse ownership interests of the brothers who own QIPCO.

Prior to the establishment of Qatar Racing, Sheikh Fahad had owned and raced horses on his own under the banner of Pearl Bloodstock. The emergence of Qatar Racing marked the formal involvement in racehorse ownership of Sheikh Fahad’s brothers, led by QIPCO Chief Executive, Sheikh Hamad Bin Abdullah Al Thani.

Qatar Racing has horses in training around the world, including in Britain, Ireland, France, Australia, Japan and the USA. In Australia and New Zealand, the horses are registered under the company Qatar Bloodstock, but carry the claret with gold braid colours of Qatar Racing.

Many of the operation’s horses are owned in partnership, either with family members or business partners, breeders, friends and colleagues from the racing industry.
