Final placings in Qatar Racing Eight to Follow
Archie Pottinger had already won the £10,000 first prize, but a win or place for two-year-old Crikey would have led to a shuffle in the chasing pack.
Instead the Kevin Ryan-trained runner was unplaced, with the result that three stables finished in joint-second with 465 points, invoking a count back which considered wins by horses in each stable.
Those from the stables of Tristan Wootton and Bertie Butler achieved ten wins, while Jackie Hutchinson's string had managed eight, so Wootton and Butler share the second and third prizes of £5,000 and £2,500 and receive £3,750 each.
Hutchinson picks up the fourth prize of £1,000, while George Oborne is a clear fifth and collects £500.
All proceeds from the competition have been generously donated by Sheikh Fahad to the charity Racing Welfare, which gives assistance to people in need from the racing and breeding industries.
