Qatar Racing's seven for QIPCO British Champions Day - 8 To Follow comes to boil

Recent Ladbrokes St Leger winner Simple Verse has been included among 16 entries for the Gr.1 QIPCO British Champions Fillies and Mares Stakes, while Elm Park has been given a pair of options - he is one of 12 horses in the Gr.1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes sponsored by QIPCO, and he is also among 15 who still hold an entry in the Gr.1 QIPCO Champion Stakes, in which Qatar Racing's Lightning Spear is another possible runner.

Pallasator's name appears among 14 in the Gr.2 QIPCO British Champions Long Distance Cup, andStrath Burn is one of 21 horses with the Gr.1 QIPCO British Champions Sprint Stakes as a target.

Halation and Sacrificial could also join the party having been given entries for the Balmoral Handicap.

Sheikh Fahad Al Thani of sponsors QIPCO said: "We are very proud that QIPCO British Champions Day has cemented itself as one of the leading race days of the year in the European and World calendars. We are very happy to see international participation too.

"We try to support racing, we love racing, it's always been in our blood. Year on year we try to improve and see better horses and that's what we're getting now. We hope to have a winner [in the Qatar Racing colours], that's the main goal from the start of the season, to get a winner or two on Champions Day."

Qatar Racing's 8 To Follow is completed on Saturday, and leader Wanda Marshall is in a very strong position.

Marshall has Elm Park in her stable, which is a handy last-day card to play, but others could force their way into the prize money.
