Qatar Racing's Eight To Follow competitionwww.8tofollow.co.uk starts on Saturday (May 3), so it is time to start making your selections - and here is some help from former champion jockey Kevin Darley, and Qatar's retained rider, Harry Bentley.

They have nominated eight horses each - a quartet of two-year-olds and the same number of older horses - which you can consider putting into your own 'stable'.

Simply pick eight from among the European-trained horses in which Qatar Racing or Pearl Bloodstock have an interest, pay £10, and you not only benefit the charity Racing Welfare (www.racingwelfare.co.uk) but also gain a chance of sharing in cash prizes worth £19,000, with £10,000 going to the person whose stable collects the most points during the season.

Harry Bentley suggests:

Arod - 3yo by Teofilo, trained by Peter Chapple-Hyam

End Of Line - 3yo by Pastoral Pursuits (Andrew Balding)

Lightning Spear - 3yo by Pivotal (Ralph Beckett)

Lightning Thunder - 3yo by Dutch Art (Olly Stevens)

Two-year-olds

Mind Of Madness - by Azamour (David Brown)

Kevin Darley suggests:
