By Northern Meteor out of Zouzou (Lot 292), the filly was consigned by Attunga Stud and knocked down for Aus$375,000. Redvers, who bought her in partnership with Chris Waller Racing, later gave $650,000 for a grey filly by Starcraft out of the Grade One-placed mare Dane Belltar (Danewin). Her offspring include three Stakes winners, headed by the Gr.1 Caulfield Cup hero Fawkner.

Zoustar could be in action for Qatar Bloodstock, Widden Stud and Merrow Racing on Saturday at Royal Randwick, where he is one of 18 entries in the Gr.1 T J Smith Stakes over 1,200m (six furlongs). A dual Grade One winner in the first half of the Australian season, Zoustar won a four-runner trial at Rosehill Gardens on the final day of March, but trainer Chris Waller is reluctant to run him again on ground he considers too slow.

Waller admitted to surprise at the likely size of Saturday's field, saying "seven to ten runners" would be the norm for this type of race in Sydney, but he is happy with Zoustar's draw in barrier six.

It is hoped Zoustar will race in Britain later this year during the Royal Ascot meeting.
