Ten-year-old Dunaden - whose victories for Sheikh Fahad's Pearl Bloodstock included the Gr.1 Melbourne Cup, Gr.1 Hong Kong Vase and Gr.1 Caulfield Cup - is about to enter his second season as a Qatar Bloodstock stallion at Simon Sweeting's Overbury Stud. His fee remains £3,000, Oct 1, SLF.

Led around Tattersalls' sales ring by groom James Stephens, Dunaden looked a picture of good health and drew an appreciative audience.

The TBA's parade precedes Tattersalls' February Sale, which included a pair of fillies offered by Qatar Racing and consigned through Jamie Railton. An unnamed filly out of Loulou (Lot 5) was sold for 1,000gns to Katarina Jacobson, while three-year-old Lightsome (Lot 67), who has shown consistent form for trainer Clive Cox, was knocked down to bloodstock agent Matt Coleman for 8,000gns.

Coleman was acting for racehorse owner Anoj Don, who has horses in training with Harry Dunlop, but plans to take Lightsome to County Mayo in Ireland and a new venture at Killala House Stables. Don said: "She's a nice filly that we felt could go on, and in time might make a broodmare."
