Molony and Jones join Redvers at Mongol Derby finish

Friday 12 August 2016

Qatar Racing teamsters Peter Molony and Gareth Jones have joined David Redvers at the finish of the 1,000km Mongol Derby.

Molony passed the finishing line at 10.58 local time, a few hours after setting off from the final pony station on day nine of the race, and 24 hours after a trio of riders had become triple dead-heating winners. As evening fell Molony was joined at the finish by Gareth Jones, who in company with five other competitors reached their goal at 18.36. There to greet him was David Redvers, who had reached the line yesterday (day eight).

All the Qatar Racing riders were raising money for injured jockeys. Please support their efforts by clicking on their 'Just Giving' page at the following link https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/QatarRacing.
