QATAR RACING TEAM TAKE ON WORLD'S TOUGHEST HORSE RACE FOR INJURED JOCKEYS' FUND

Qatar Racing's David Redvers, Kevin Darley and Peter Molony are taking on the world's longest and toughest horse race to raise money for the Injured Jockeys' Fund.

They are taking part in the eighth Mongol Derby, a 1,000 kilometre endurance test across Mongolian wilderness that lasts up to 10 days. The race, which this year involves 43 competitors from 13 countries, is credited by the Guinness Book of Records as being the harshest of its kind. It involves hostile terrain, nights under the stars, a diet of mutton and mares' milk, and countless saddle sores plus the challenge of not getting lost. Riders are mounted on semi-wild ponies who are changed every 40km.

Qatar Racing's team of six is now in Mongolia at the final training camp ahead of the race, which starts on August 4, but some members have been preparing (and wasting hard!) for months. Your encouragement through donations will drive them up a gear when the going gets tough!

Please donate to support the cause and our Mongol Derby riders by clicking on their 'Just Giving' page at the following link https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/QatarRacing. You can do so at any time during the race, and the page will remain open after it is completed.

To get a flavour for the challenge ahead, visit www.mongolderby.com and follow the news section of this webite (www.qatarracingltd.com) for updates on the team's progress.

Thank you for your support.
