Out of The Flames became the latest Qatar Racing horse to book a place at Royal Ascot when winning a five-furlong novice for 2-year-old fillies at Windsor on Monday evening.

After showing plenty of ability when third in a 3-way photo at Ascot on her debut 10 days earlier, the Richard Hannon-trained Out of The Flames was sent off at 7/2-on for the Windsor contest.

She travelled smoothly in behind the leaders and then put the race to bed a furlong out, just kept up to her work thereafter by Oisin Murphy to win by three lengths, with the second and third six lengths clear of the rest.

Purchased by Qatar Racing's Racing Manager David Redvers for £190,000 at the Goffs UK Breeze-Up Sale in mid-April, Out of The Flames is by Showcasing out of the listed Marygate Stakes winner Primo Lady.

Like her dam, Out of The Flames has lots of natural speed and looks a natural contender for the Gr. 3 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 21, a race the Hannon stable has won five times, most recently with Best Terms in 2011.
