ROBINS FARM TO GO ON THE MARKET

The near 50-acre complex, situated in the Surrey Hills, was purchased by Sheikh Fahad Al Thani in 2012 and has been the subject of significant investment. Since being given the opportunity to train from Robins Farm, Stevens has enjoyed many notable successes, not least Royal Ascot winner Extortionist, whose victory came six months after he took out a licence.

However, in August Stevens announced that for family reasons he would not be continuing as a trainer, and in light of this Sheikh Fahad has decided to put the property on the market.

David Redvers, racing and bloodstock adviser to Sheikh Fahad, said: "Robins Farm has been a lucky place for us, providing some memorable moments and successes over the last three years. However, with Olly's decision to cease training coinciding with some changes in strategy for Qatar Racing, we took the view that the time is right to put it on the market.

"Robins Farm is in a wonderful setting - you would never know you were 50 minutes from central London, and I have spent many blissful mornings there, as has Sheikh Fahad, who regularly rides out at the yard.

"It has some of the finest gallops in Europe which enable horses to reach peak fitness while being remarkably kind on their limbs. It is hard to imagine a more stunning or geographically suitable place from which to train."

In addition to handling the Royal Ascot winner and Group One-placed Extortionist, Stevens made history while at Robins Farm when becoming the first British trainer to win an American Grade One two-year-old race on dirt by virtue of Peace And War's victory at Keeneland in 2014. Other notable horses prepared at Robins Farm have included dual Guineas runner-up Lightning Thunder, Group Two winner Green Door and the progressive Lightning Spear.

Located near the village of Chiddingfold, Robins Farm is a purpose-built equine training operation with state-of-the-art facilities. The property has a variety of refurbished all-weather gallops over a range of gradients, together with three American barns of stables, an equine treadmill, vibrating floor and overhead solarium.

Property agent Knight Frank has been appointed to handle the sale of Robins Farm on behalf of Sheikh Fahad. All enquiries regarding its sale should be directed to Rupert Sweeting - 020 7861 1078, rupert.sweeting@knightfrank.com - or George Bramley - 020 7861 1069,george.bramley@knightfrank.com
