Sheikh Fahad rides in a charity race at Cheltenham on Thursday April 20, lining up at the end of a card that features three listed races and a host of top jump jockeys.

Sheikh Fahad will take part in the Pertemps Champions Willberry Charity Race (6.15pm), which is for four-year-olds and over rated either up to 125 under National Hunt Rules or 85 on the Flat, and is run over one mile and about five furlongs. He will ride the Qatar Racing Limited-owned New World Power, a thrice-raced son of Deep Impact who is BHA-rated 81 and now trained by David Simcock.

Sheikh Fahad rode in his first charity race at Limerick in 2015, and in 2016 he won both the 347th running of the Newmarket Town Plate and the Corinthian Challenge Charity Race at Leopardstown, in the last-named race partnering none other than the subsequent Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner Labaik. Sheikh Fahad also competed in the Mongol Derby last year, and he's set to ride in another charity race at Punchestown on Saturday April 29.

Sheikh Fahad will certainly be in good company in the Pertemps Champions Willberry Charity Race as other participants include Sir Mark Todd, winner of two Olympic Gold Medals, four Badminton titles and five at Burghley, three-time Olympic medallist Tina Cook and ITV Racing present Alice Fox-Pitt.

The Pertemps-sponsored Champions Willberry Charity Race combines two great causes The Bob Champion Cancer Trust and Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony charity and any donations would be very gratefully received. They can be made via Sheikh Fahad's fundraising page at uk.virginmoneygiving.com/SheikhFahadAlThani.

David Redvers is also raising money for charity - specifically the John Paul II Foundation for Sport, which produces educational materials and works with sports clubs, schools and young offenders - by having another crack at the London Marathon.
