Snowmane heads cracking session for Qatar Quartet
The pick on price proved to be the Ger Lyons-trained Snowmane (pictured, Lot 714), who moves to Britain after being knocked down to Matt Coleman for 210,000gns; the David Brown-trained Gr.2 Norfolk Stakes runner-up Mind Of Madness (Lot 715) joins Qatar trainer Ibrahim Al-Malki after making 110,000gns; Yenhaab (Lot 716) leaves William Haggas bound for Australia with a 140,000gns valuation after being bought by James McHale, and Pearl Flute (Lot 717) leaves Francis Graffard bound for the Dubai Carnival after a 75,000gns offer from Anthony Stroud.
Sheikh Fahad's racing and bloodstock manager, David Redvers, said: "The resale market is very strong and I am very happy with the prices, but they were four lovely horses and should all go on to win Stakes races for their new owners."

Snowmane will go into training with James Given and race for owner Peter Swann, said Coleman, who added that the three-year-old's recent all-weather success at Dundalk had caught his eye. Having shown his aptitude for Polytrack a Winter Derby challenge could be on the horse's agenda.
The sale continues today, starting at 9.30am, when there will be further opportunities to buy horses from the Qatar Racing draft - they are being consigned by Jamie Railton. At the same auction last year Qatar Racing sold G Force, who went on to land the Gr.1 Haydock Sprint Cup.
