8 to Follow horses now live - Get the Team's Tips

Qatar Racing's 8 to Follow competition is now open and the full list of horses, plus the selections of experts involved with Qatar Racing, can be found at www.8tofollow.co.uk - or you can simply click on the competition logo on this website.

A £10,000 first prize is up for grabs, with further cash down to fifth place, and all you have to do is pick eight horses trained in Europe under the Qatar Racing Ltd and Pearl Bloodstock umbrellas. Entrants pay £10 for each 'stable' or group of eight horses, and all profits go to the charity Racing Welfare, which helps people in need in the racing and bloodstock industries.

With an exciting group of older horses to carry Qatar Racing and Pearl Bloodstock colours, gaining points might seem a straightforward assignment, but each stable must include four two-year-olds, so it is worth checking out our experts' suggestions. Sheikh Fahad has nominated Captain Morley, Elm Park(pictured), Hot Streak and Master Of Irony as his first stable's group of older horses, and suggests colts out of the mares Faithful One and Wile Cat and fillies out of Deora De and Diary as two-year-olds to follow. Once these juveniles have been named the website will be updated, but until then simply pick your team by using the sire and dam for identification.

Entries for this year's competition close on Friday, May 1, and it runs from May 2, QIPCO 2000 Guineas Day, to October 17, QIPCO British Champions Day.
