Charge keeps up the good work

Monday 12 December 2016

The Ralph Beckett-trained Chemical Charge carried Qatar Racing colours into second in yesterday's Listed Prix Max Sicard at Toulouse in France.

Ridden by Gregory Benoist, Chemical Charge was driven to lead inside the final furlong, but was passed soon after by winner Satanicjim the winner scored by two lengths and 15 ran.

Nothing if not consistent, and versatile on all types of ground, the four-year-old won both his starts as a two-year-old and has now finished second in each of five races he has tackled this year, initially with Ger Lyons before moving to Beckett.
