Chemical Charge and Spy Ring are chasing Stakes-race glory at the Curragh this afternoon.

Tained by Ger Lyons (pictured below), Chemical Charge lines up in the Gr.3 International Stakes (14.45), while juvenile Spy Ring tackles the Gr.3 Grangecon Stud Stakes (15.45) for Michael O'Callaghan's stable.

A winner at Lingfield in 2015 for Ralph Beckett's stable, Chemical Charge moved to Ireland ahead of the turf season and finished second in Listed company at the Curragh last month on his debut for Lyons. He is a son of Sea The Stars out of a Kingmambo mare.

Spy Ring won at Cork in May on good to firm ground, but was unplaced next time on soft ground at Naas.

O'Callaghan withdrew the filly from a Royal Ascot engagement, but believes that decision could pay dividends.
