Epsom will be in mind this week when trials for the Derby and Oaks take place at Chester and Lingfield.

Eight fillies will line up in tomorrow's Arkle Finance Cheshire Oaks (14.40), a Listed race in which Pearl Bloodstock's Diamonds Pour Moi is among eight declared runners. Trained by Ralph Beckett, she won her only start as a juvenile when successful at Kempton in November.

Diamonds Pour Moi, who holds an entry in the Investec Oaks at Epsom on June 3, is also engaged in Saturday's Listed Oaks Trial Stakes at Lingfield, in which Qatar Racing's Mountain Bell, who is also trained by Beckett, is a more likely runner.

Qatar Racing's Blue De Vega made a solid return to action when finishing second in the Listed Tetrarch Stakes at the Curragh yesterday. He could not match winner Awtaad, but that horse had the benefit of a run this season and received 3lb in weight.

Ainippe also had to concede weight on her first start of 2016, and she too produced a likeable effort to finish third in the Gr.3 Athasi Stakes.
