Golden Horn set for more QIPCO Champions Series' points

The race has been billed as a showdown between Golden Horn and dual Guineas winner Gleneagles, although the last-named may not run if his team decide the going is too soft. Either way, horses of the calibre of The Grey Gatsby and Time Test will ensure Golden Horn has a tough test - and it is a race which has seen odds-on favourites beaten in the past, none bigger than the legendary Brigadier Gerard, whose only defeat in 18 races came in the 1972 running.

Qatar Racing is not represented in today's feature event - which is another leg in the QIPCO British Champions Series - but it will be represented during the four-day York meeting.

Continental Lady (Gr.2 Lowther Stakes) and Queen Catrine (Handicap) have been declared for tomorrow's card, while Wind Fire and Pearl Secret are set to line-up in the Gr.1 Nunthorpe Stakes on Friday. Juvenile Click And Roll and handicapper Master Of Irony are also engaged on the same afternoon.

On Saturday, Flaming Spear has the option of a handicap or the Gr.3 Strensall Stakes.

In Ireland today the Listed Ruby Stakes (18.50) includes the Qatar Racing pair of Sacrificial and Lat Hawill.
