Great start for Atzeni in Role as Qatar Racing number one

Atzeni scored on his first ride in his new position when partneringAfter The Sunset for trainer Clive Cox at Wolverhampton yesterday evening.

Today he went to Lingfield and took the first race on the card on another Qatar Racing runner, the Stuart Williams-trained Limerick Lord, although he had to be at his strongest to guide his mount home in front by just a nose from runner-up El Che.

Atzeni was out of luck on his only other Qatar Racing ride, the David Simcock-trained Halation, who was unplaced, but he later teamed up with Williams again for a further victory, this time on Pactolus.
