Harbour Watch foals make a mark at December Sale

The pick on price (as of noon on Friday) has been a 100,000gns colt (Lot 863, pictured) from the National Stud. He was foaled by the Danehill mare Bendis, who has produced three successful offspring, including Listed-placed Walkingonthemoon.

David Redvers, the head of Tweenhills Farm and Stud - which is home to Harbour Watch - signed for this one, a powerful colt who looked a sprinter for the future.

Other foals by the sire have this week been sold for sums that include 78,000gns, 62,000gns, 58,000gns, 55,000gns, 48,000gns, 45,000gns and 40,000gns twice. The average price of Harbour Watch foals at midday on Friday was 31,086gns, a handsome mark-up on his covering fee of £7,500.
