He is a winner - but will Olly's Heisman be in your Eight to Follow
The three-year-old son of Teofilo won a maiden race today at Kempton under Jamie Spencer, and could produce more as the season progresses. Stevens, who is based at Robins Farm Racing in Surrey, certainly rates the colt, for when asked to nominate a horse for the competition he immediately named Heisman.
Following today's win Stevens also spoke of his talented three-year-old filly Lightning Thunder, who is entered in Sunday's QIPCO 1,000 Guineas. He told Racing UK: "She's grown and has got stronger. She was probably just over the top on her final run last year, and on certain ratings she is up there and in with a chance."
Kiyoshi, the mount of Jamie Spencer, is another Qatar Racing filly with an entry in Sunday's Classic, and she too is one to consider for the Eight To Follow competition, which has a first prize of £10,000.
To enter simply click on this link www.8tofollow.co.uk and select eight horses from among those trained in Europe for Qatar Racing or Pearl Bloodstock. Each entry costs £10 and you must select four two-year-olds in your eight-strong stable.
Every £10 that comes in will be given to the charity Racing Welfare (www.racingwelfare.co.uk) so hurry, hurry, and get your entries in now.
