The Olly Stevens-trained colt is among 11 left in Goodwood's Gr.2 Doom Bar Celebration Mile, althoughArod, another Qatar Racing entry for the same race, was not confirmed, and could head to Canada for the Gr.1 Woodbine Mile or to France for next month's Gr.1 Prix du Moulin. It was won last year by Charm Spirit before he retired to stud under the Qatar Bloodstock banner.

Fourth, beaten a whisker for third in the Gr.1 Prix Jacques Le Marois on his latest start, Lightning Spear is unlikely to run if the going becomes too soft, but Qatar Racing manager David Redvers told the Racing Post: "This race is a little soon after his last one, but he's bouncing at home so we're keeping an eye on the weather with the aim of running."
