Qatar Racing's two-year-old Lost In Space won his third race on the bounce in a good-quality nursery at Newmarket on Thursday.

Lost In Space has improved with each of his six runs this year, winning a novice at Lingfield and nurseries on the July Course and Rowley Mile at Newmarket. The grey colt had been raised 8 lb to a mark of 90 for his previous success, but he made light work of his new rating to win by 4 lengths from Olympic Theatre.

Having been ridden by Qatar Racing's second jockey Cieren Fallon the time before, first rider Oisin Murphy returned to his saddle on the John Gosden-trained son of Dark Angel. Lost In Space is a half-brother to the same connections' three-year-old Riot - a useful winner last year - who has returned to training after a setback.

Lost In Space is very genuine and has a high cruising speed but proved here that he stays a mile well. He was bought at the Tattersalls December Yearling Sale by David Redvers for 77,000gns, which looks excellent value now. He holds an entry in the Horses In Training Sale from October 26 to October 30, where he promises to be one of the star lots.
