Qatar Racing's Mr Owen (pictured right) beat 11 rivals to win yesterday's Listed Prix Lyphard at Deauville.

It was the four-year-old's fourth victory for trainer Francois Rohaut, and came under jockey Olivier Peslier, who rode him to a three-lengths victory over nearest rival Al Debel.

At Tattersalls December Sale yesterday, Qatar Racing's two-year-old filly Blitz was sold for 120,000gns. A winner for Johnny Murtagh's stable at Dundalk earlier this month, Blitz was knocked down to David Powell of Catridge Farm Stud, who said the filly had been bought for a small syndicate plans had to be decided, but she could race on or be retired to stud.

In Tweenhills' tepee yesterday evening the Golden Ticket draw was made, with the first prize a free nomination to a pre-booked Qatar Bloodstock stallion. The first name out was Tony Morris of the Endless Acre Stud near Cardiff Mr Morris had booked a nomination to Hot Streak.

The second name drawn, gaining a half-price nomination, was Equine Breeding Ltd, which had made an early booking to Charm Spirit through bloodstock agent Richard Knight.

Also winning a half-price nomination was Paul Gardner of Springcombe Park in Somerset. Mr Gardner had booked a mare to Hot Streak.
