Promising Return by Trade Storm at Meydan

The David Simcock-trained seven-year-old invariably requires a run off a break, but, ridden by Andrea Atzeni, he finished to great effect and took a handsome share of the prize money. Runaway winner Hunter's Light had flown, but Trade Storm edged ahead of a quartet of Mike De Kock-trained runners - Johann Strauss was third, while favourite Vercingetorix finished sixth.

On the same Meydan card Extortionist carried Sheikh Suhaim's colours in the Listed Meydan Sprint, but he was reported to have pulled a front shoe off and was eased right down by Atzeni in the home straight. There will be much better to come from the Olly Stevens-trained four-year-old.
