The incredible Shedaresthedevil – part-owned by Qatar Racing – won the eight Graded race of her career in the Gr.2 Fleur de Lis Stakes at Churchill Downs on Saturday.

Shedaresthedevil has now won three Gr.1s, two Gr.2s and three Gr.3s.

Under Florent Geroux, Shedaresthedevil tracked early leader Super Quick and overhauled the leader 1f from the winning post for a length and three quarters victory.

The pair finished clear of the other three runners, headed by Pauline’s Peal who had beaten Shedaresthedevil in this year’s Gr.1 La Troienne Stakes at the same track.

Winning trainer Brad Cox told the press: “We're really proud of the race she ran today.

“We've targeted this race for a long time. She loves it here at Churchill Downs and Florent gave her a perfect ride.

“It was a tough field but I had confidence in her when I saw her position going around the turn that she'd have enough left to chase down [Super Quick].”

The winning jockey added: “We sat in a perfect position the entire way around the track.

“Inside the eighth pole she started to find her best stride and drew away late. She's back.”
