Bloodstock agents are to the fore, with Ed Sackville and Bertie Butler among a group of people whose stables are heading the table.

Butler leapt up the rankings when the Kevin Ryan-trained Hot Streak headed Pearl Secret in Saturday's Gr.2 Temple Stakes at Haydock, and he moved into a share of the lead when Peace And War made a winning debut at Lingfield yesterday for Olly Stevens' stable.

Butler will be hoping Arod lands Saturday week's Investec Derby at Epsom, and that Secret Gesture can take the same card's Investec Coronation Cup, for both are Group One races and therefore worth 80pts.

Sackville has two stables on the top spot - he also benefited when Hot Streak won, and he picked up valuable points when Lightning Thunder was second in the Irish 1000 Guineas.

Mary Redvers, David's mother is also enjoying a seat at the top table and was another with the Hot Streak/Pearl Secret forecast - and aspirations for Arod at Epsom - whileAlex Storrer's stable had Hot Streak and Lightning Thunder on her side last weekend.

Sheikh Fahad is also among those whose stables have amassed 130pts for a share of the lead.
