Opal Tiara (pictured below) completed a very good weekend for Qatar Racing when landing Goodwood's Gr.3 Supreme Stakes (16.20).

The Mick Channon-trained filly who is owned with The Sweet Partnership of Keith and Clive Potter followed up a Qatar Racing success in Saturday's Gr.2 Celebration Mile at the same racecourse. Victory went to the David Simcock-trained Lightning Spear, while Arod ran his best race of the season to take third place.

Following Opal Tiara's win under Oisin Murphy, Channon told the Racing Post: ‚"She's always been tough and just loves the game. She's no oil painting, but she's a proper racehorse and is improving with racing.‚"

Qatar Racing's sole runner today is Beast, who lines up in the opening maiden at Roscommon (17.00) Colin Keane rides the two-year-old a son of Qatar Bloodstock stallion Makfi who has shaped with promise in two races to date.
