Terror set for Lanwades stud Nell Gwyn Stakes
The £60,000 seven-furlong contest is a traditional trial for the QIPCO 1000 Guineas and six of its nine runners (including Terror) hold an engagement in that Classic.
Andrea Atzeni will be aboard the daughter of Kodiac, who he guided into fourth place in the Gr.1 Connolly's RED MILLS Cheveley Park Stakes at the Rowley Mile last September, prior to her landing a Listed event there five weeks later.
Simcock said: "Terror has had a trouble-free preparation and done well physically over the winter; her recent work has been solid.
"She would have to be good to finish fourth in the Cheveley Park on only her second start, but while she is quite clean-winded it is difficult to know where you stand fitness-wise until you get her into a race scenario.
"She might prefer a bit of dig in the ground but she has already proved she handles fast ground, and I don't think that this step up to seven furlongs will be a problem for her."
Terror's Lanwades Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes opponents include two fillies from the Richard Hannon stable in the shape of the Gr. 3 Princess Margaret Stakes winner Osaila, and Marsh Hawk, who has not run since finishing fourth in the Gr. 1 Dubai Fillies' Mile at the Rowley Mile in October.
Other interesting candidates are the Group Three winners Muraaqaba, who landed the German-Thoroughbred.com Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket's Adnams July Course last August, and New Providence, successful in the Dick Poole Fillies' Stakes at Salisbury in September.
