Top-grade winners in action on World Cup night

Trade Storm tackles the £3.8m Gr.1 Dubai Turf (15.40 UK time), Just The Judge runs in the £3.8m Gr.1 Dubai Sheema Classic (16.15), while Side Glance lines up in the most valuable race on the planet, the £6.4m Gr.1 Dubai World Cup (17.00).

Andrea Atzeni rides the trio, starting with Trade Storm, who finished fourth, then twelfth, in the past two runnings of the race. Trainer David Simcock says: "He is in good order, he had a blow on Tuesday and I'm happy with him."

Trade Storm, who carries the colours of Qatar Racing Ltd, was second recently in the Gr.1 Jebel Hatta, but the Charlie Hills-trained Just The Judge has not raced since November, when she was third in the Gr.1 Breeders' Cup Fillies and Mares Turf.

She was subsequently offered to dissolve a partnership at Tattersalls' December Sale and now runs for a new partnership involving Qatar Racing and China Horse Club. Hills says: "She travelled well to Dubai, has been cantering and moving well."

The Andrew Balding-trained Side Glance, who runs for Pearl Bloodstock Ltd, was last seen finishing fourth in the Gr.1 Cox Plate at Moonee Valley. However, he was recently taken for an away-day and workout at Southwell racecourse and is no stranger to Meydan's dirt track. He has finished a creditable fourth in the past two World Cups.
