Qatar Racing enjoyed a stellar weekend in July with three winners courtesy of 2yo debut fillies Conflict and Duty Bound, and Senior Officer who took his record to four wins from 6 starts.

Conflict lined up against seven rivals in a maiden over 8.5f on turf at Saratoga and rallied to edge out favourite Just Peachy, who had won on her debut in May. The pair are both by Golden Pal, who has made a good impression with his first 2yos this year.

Conflict is trained by Brad Cox, who clearly has a strong bunch of juveniles, and was ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr. 

Duty Bound is by another first-season sire in Jack Christopher, and she won her maiden over 5.5f on turf at Colonial Downs. She justified favouritism from Millionairess, who was also prominent in the betting making her own debut.

Duty Bound is trained by Jack Sisterton and was ridden by Jorge Ruiz. She’s out of multiple Gr.1 winner Turbulent Descent. 

The treble was completed by yet another exciting prospect in Senior Officer, also trained by Cox and ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr. 

He won his third race on the bounce in a thrilling finish to an allowance optional claimer at Saratoga. The 5yo posted the day’s highest Horse Racing Nation speed figure with a 127.
